Pivotal Patterns is building an AI-powered platform to identify and address student risk factors earlier and more effectively than current solutions. Its edge lies in a holistic, data-driven approach that integrates real-time information and facilitates collaboration across schools, families, and healthcare providers.
Objective
Teachers, child associates, therapists and parents of pre-K to 8th grade children simply don’t have a comprehensive set of data available to identify early childhood issues, suggest intervention efforts, track those efforts and evaluate progress. There are just too many disparate tools - student information systems to track attendance and academic performance, social emotional learning (SEL) systems to identify and track those issues and healthcare information systems that store electronic medical records. Those tools that are available have become bloated with features that aren’t widely used and have large price tags.
Challenge
To create a system that actively monitors and addresses student risk factors early on in their schooling. This is an innovative product that does not have many competitors, so all established paradigms will be new
Solution
To create a modern, seamless UI that is easy to use for both technical and non-technical users.
Real-Time Data Integration: Combines school systems, SEL assessments, and health records into a unified view.
Predictive Analytics: Leverages AI to spot early indicators of academic, behavioral, or emotional risk.
Machine Learning Risk Scoring: Provides actionable insights on students most in need of support.
Multi-Stakeholder Collaboration: Creates a secure bridge for educators, parents, and providers to work together seamlessly.

Getting Started
The Founder for this project created simple wireframes to depict what he was envisioning for the platform. He also created a Google doc that contained all of the specs for the features we wanted to begin with.
